Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of long beans (kacang panjang)
  • 200 grams of beef meatballs (bakso sapi)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup of water

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:

    • Wash the long beans and trim off the ends. Cut them into 2-inch pieces.
    • If the beef meatballs are frozen, thaw them first before cooking.
    • Mince the garlic cloves.
  2. Heat the oil:

    • In a wok or large frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the garlic:

    • Add the minced garlic to the heated oil and sauté until fragrant, for about 1 minute.
  4. Add the long beans:

    • Add the long beans to the pan and stir-fry for around 2 minutes until they are slightly cooked but still crisp.
  5. Cook the meatballs:

    • Add the beef meatballs to the pan and continue stir-frying for another 2 minutes until they are heated through.
  6. Season the dish:

    • Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, and ground pepper to the pan. Mix well to coat the long beans and meatballs evenly.
  7. Add water:

    • Pour the water into the pan and stir everything together. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid.
  8. Simmer:

    • Let the dish simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and the long beans to become tender.
  9. Check the seasoning:

    • Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can add more soy sauce or salt if needed.
  10. Serve:

    • Remove the lid and transfer the tumis kacang panjang bakso to a serving dish.
  11. Enjoy:

    • Serve the dish hot as a main course with steamed rice or as a side dish to complement your meal.
